About Us

The congregation of Gethsemane Lutheran Church was formed in April of 1893.  Like the world and the neighborhood around us, we have undergone countless changes in the last 100+ years.  In spite of the challenges facing small urban churches, we are committed to maintaining our presence on the corner of 47th & Colfax.  We currently share our building with partner congregations from Nu Way Baptist Church and the Brooklyn Center Seventh Day Adventist Church.  Working together in faith, we declare this to be our mission in the Camden neighborhood:

To be part of something that is bigger than us individually.
As a community of believers, with our faith and trust in God, we CAN make a difference.
